My daughter is just about the smartest 2 year old I know, sometimes too smart for my own good. She has mastered the art of tantrums on call-when needed. She can turn it on to get what she wants in the blink of an eye and on the flip side when she does get what she wants (because sometimes I give in when I can take no more) she turns it off and is as sweet as pie once again. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde much?! She also has it so I chase her around getting her to eat, she will not sit down and fed herself like a normal child. If she does she will shovel the food in so fast and wind up choking. Not fun! This post has taken me forever to finish, thanks to one fussy baby boy :)
I am tired. Tired of thinking about everything we lost. Tired of wondering if we will get there again. Tired of school. Tired of people saying it could be worse (even though I know it could.) Tired of never having enough money. Tired of comparing myself and our situation to others who have it much better right now. Tired of being jealous. Tired of being tired. But NEVER tired of loving these two faces more than I can even begin to explain....
We have passes to Disneyland but hadn't been in several months, about 2 months before we had Maxx to be exact. We finally went and it was so much fun, Lexxie loved it! Maxx slept just about the entire time and rode his first ride...It's a Small World. We are planning to go much more often now that we now how well Maxx did :) Bo (my sister, Kara who Lexx calls Bo) went with us and Lexxie loves her so much, so she was so glad to have her Bo to ride with.
July 28, 2010 Stats- Weight: 13 lbs. 1 oz. Length: 25 inches Diapers:Size 2 Clothes: 3-6 months mostly Sleeping: Okay, waking every 2 and a half to 4 hours.
Maxx you are such a strong boy. You can hold your head almost all the time, you kick and push off everything. You nurse quite a bit. You are the most cuddly little guy and loving being held. You are smiling like crazy and we love every single toothless grin. You enjoy looking around and taking in the scenery. Bath time is your favorite time, and getting your head washed is what you love best.
Well this week was a sleepless one, but what else is new. I am getting used to doing everything in a haze from lack of sleep. I have mastered the art of sleeping sitting up in bed while holding sleeping Maxx on the boppy with all sorts of pillows around us. He HATES to be put down at night mostly and I HATE to sleep sitting up. Sometimes my neck and shoulders are so stiff that I have to use my hand to move my head to look at my nightstand and grab a diap or a breast pad, it is that stiff.
My husband is kind, gentle, the best Daddy to our kids, fun, silly, affectionate, loving and so much more. I love his more everyday. Here is to many more years to come.
I am usually a good diaper changer, I have had two plus years with Lexx and much more from babysitting and what not. Well, a couple days ago on one sleepless night I had a big problem! I was changing Maxx and about to nurse him. Well he had a little poop in there, so I wiped him up and started to get the clean diaper under him. Then he pooped, like projectile poop. This had never happened before, it got all over my arm, shirt and pillow. Like ALL OVER. It was bad, I had to wake up Justin and get him to take Maxx so I could go wash my arm, change my shirt and get a new pillow case. Maxx was screaming, hungry and not wanting Daddy. Oh the joys of nighttime feedings and diaper changes!!
My blog needs some serious help. I need to know how to add side columns and just organize it better overall. Can anyone help me?? I think I would blog more then.
I didn't realize how much I have neglected my blog! I am going to TRY and be a better blogger. A lot has happened since I last blogged. Most importantly, I am pregnant again! Currently 21 weeks and 4 days to be exact. We are having a baby boy and couldn't feel more blessed about it. He is perfect and we can't wait to meet him! Lexxie doesn't understand what is going on yet, but she will soon. She is going to be a great big sister, bossy I am sure but loving too. More to come....
I am 30 years old, married for almost 8 years, and the mother of Lexxie (4 1/2), Maxx (almost 2), and Roxxie (3 months). My children are my greatest accomplishment, and being their Mommy is a dream come true. There was a point in time where we didn't think being parents was something we would get to experience.
